Fused Silica-Vorsäulen
CA guard columns are 5 meter sections of deactivated fused silica tubing. A high temperature deactivation process creates a surface that is non-interacting with your samples. A Guard Column is installed into your injector and then attached to the front of your analytical column using a Fused Silica Universal Capillary Connector. Since you need to make this connection Chromatography Associates provides a Connector with each Guard column (includes one capillary connector).
